Melvin is a Houston guitar man...he always will be. I saw him play ever so smoothly at E.O. Smith junior high school in the stage band...even then; so smooth. I was a budding guitarist and was heavily influence by his style, but probably more by his happy and respectful manner. A smiling gentleman all the time.

Sparks transferred to Kashmere and became even better. He is a credit to music, Texas, and his family. I am sure my life was enhanced by just being around Melvin.
