A pickguard on a used guitar that is warped in 2 places does NOT mean you have to take the entire guard off and remove all the electronics and then reassemble it all later. Why not just heat the area to be flattened with foil over it and use a heat gun or hair-dryer or even a propane torch to heat up the area to be flattened ? Then clamp a small flat piece of wood to keep the affected area flat for 10-15 minutes. It's simple and if it takes a few tries, then go slow so you do not overheat the plastic....

Thanks, just bought a guitar (peavey reactor), and noticed a bow by the bridge, either someone did some work on it and the bridge wire might between the body and guard. As I said, just bought and want to play so, I'm real slow on removing parts. Anyway, I just read your article and will try that if it's the situation. I have looked for replacements just in case, but can't find, unless custom. So, this might be my fix. Thanks again, on info and timing.
