You're right, it ain't cheap but it's all good. Bill Nelson's The Practice of Everyday Life gives a nice view of the musical and lyrical landscape of what a few fortunate ones have been accustomed to for the past several decades. One might wonder why Mr. Nelson has not stuck to the one basic formula which brought him the most notoriety (the BeBop Days) but I for one am glad he didn't. Sometimes his music is challenging but whatever he does, he does because he can. That's a pretty cool life.
I think the other thing about following this particular artist is that he is quite personable, intelligent, treats his fans with respect, and offers glimpses into his world. That's priceless. Check out http://www.billnelson.com/html/park/inn.php

I'm not a guy that buys alot of records. I tend to buy things I like and and listen to them over and over. G.Love & Special Sauces first record is one that fits that criteria. Highly recommended.
"Stick it inna fridge" fer sure.

Like Mike, I have worshipped at the Temple Nelson since the mid-seventies. At last count I have 27 cd's of Bill music. If you want to hear unparalleled melodic guitar solos, get Be Bop Deluxes 1976 release Sunburst Finish, which happens to have the best cover art ever in the history of recorded music. A personal favorite of mine is Bills "A Love That Whirls, Diary of a Thinking Heart" CD
from around 1983. If you would like to hear a master of the E-Bow, check out 'The Octoberman".
You will be amazed.
