Public relations is all about reputation management: branding, crisis management, image. Though realistically, every PR firm does publicity. Not every publicist does PR. 

I&#039;d also look into finding a smaller company, like a local freelance publicist. You&#039;ll get a much better rate than if you hire a firm, and most likely more personalized attention. 

This is really a crazy time to be a publicist. As traditional journalism is taking a nose dive and social media is still growing, the very idea of what it means to be a publicist is changing.]]></description>
